Common Questions About the Demo

How long does the demo take?

The demo typically lasts 30 minutes. We walk through the core features — job management, customer records, vehicle service history, invoicing, and automated reminders — and leave time for your questions at the end. If you only want to see specific features, we can focus the session accordingly.

Is the demo free?

Yes, completely free. There is no obligation to subscribe and no sales pressure. The demo is simply an opportunity to see AutoChain in action and decide whether it is right for your garage. You can book as many demos as you like.

What will I see in the demo?

The demo covers the full AutoChain platform: creating and managing jobs, storing vehicle and customer records, logging digital service history, raising invoices, sending automated service reminders, and using the customer-facing service history portal. We tailor the walkthrough to whatever is most relevant to your type of business, whether you run an independent garage, a mobile mechanic operation, or a specialist service.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Nothing at all. Just book a slot that suits you using the calendar above, and we will send a video call link beforehand. You can join from any device — laptop, tablet, or phone. If you have specific questions or features you want to see, feel free to note them when booking and we will make sure to cover them.

How much does AutoChain cost after the demo?

AutoChain is priced at £69.99 per month plus VAT for service providers. This includes unlimited employees, all features, and no long-term contract. You can cancel at any time. There are no per-seat fees or hidden charges. Pricing is discussed during the demo and you can find full details on the register page.

What to Expect From Your AutoChain Demo

What does the demo cover?

The AutoChain demo is a 30-minute live walkthrough of the platform tailored to your type of business. We cover job creation and management, digital job sheets, invoicing, customer records and vehicle history, digital service history recording, automated MOT and service reminders, the provider dashboard and reporting, and how the driver-facing experience works. We welcome questions at any point and can spend more time on the areas most relevant to your business. There is no sales pressure — the demo is genuinely about helping you decide whether the platform is right for you.

Who should attend the demo?

Ideally, the person who makes decisions about the garage's software and processes should be present for the demo. For a sole trader or small independent, this is typically the owner. For larger workshops, the workshop manager or business owner — and if relevant, an office administrator who handles bookings and invoicing — will get the most from the session. You do not need any technical knowledge; the demo is designed to be understood by anyone who runs or manages an automotive service business.

What questions should I prepare for the demo?

Common questions garages find useful to raise during an AutoChain demo include: how does migration from an existing system work; can I import existing customer and vehicle records; how does invoicing integrate with my accounting software; what happens to my data if I cancel; how long does setup take; and can I run a trial period before committing to a subscription. We are happy to answer any operational or technical questions during the session and can follow up in writing on anything that requires further detail.

Is the demo remote or in-person?

AutoChain demos are conducted remotely via video call — typically using Google Meet or similar. This means you can join from your garage, office, or home without any travel required. You will need a computer or tablet with a browser and internet connection to see the platform walkthrough. The remote format also means we can accommodate bookings at times convenient to your schedule, including early morning or late afternoon slots outside standard business hours.

What happens after the demo?

After the demo, there is no obligation to sign up. If you decide to proceed, you can register directly on the website and your account will be created immediately — you can start using the platform the same day. If you want to think it over, we will follow up with a summary email covering the key points discussed and the next steps if you want to proceed. The subscription is month-to-month so there is no risk in starting — if the platform does not work for your business within the first month, you simply cancel.

Platform Logic

Why Clearer Infrastructure Matters to Both Drivers and Garages

Most problems in vehicle ownership are not caused by a lack of effort. They come from fragmented information. AutoChain is designed to close those gaps by giving both sides a clearer way to keep the history of the vehicle usable after the job is finished.

What better infrastructure fixes

A driver can care about the car and still lose track of service dates if reminders, invoices, MOT history, and approvals all live in different places. A garage can carry out good work and still struggle to retain customers if the record of that work is hard to retrieve later.

Better infrastructure matters because it makes the history usable again. It gives the owner and the workshop a stronger basis for the next decision instead of forcing both sides to reconstruct what happened from memory.

Why it matters in practice

Trust is built when the customer can see what happened, the garage can prove what was done, and the next decision starts with better context than the last one.

Trust improves

Customers can see what happened, garages can prove what was done, and the next decision starts with better context.

Economics improve

On-time reminders protect repeat business, cleaner records support price, and better visibility reduces wasted diagnosis.

Handovers improve

Approvals, complaints, resale discussions, and ownership transfers become easier to manage with a stronger evidence trail.

The market improves

Independent garages and informed drivers both benefit when the ownership story becomes easier to follow.

AutoChain combines driver tools, provider workflows, reminder systems, digital service history, and educational content because each part becomes more useful when it strengthens the same central outcome: a clearer, more credible, and more transferable record of what has happened to the vehicle and why it matters.
